What to expect in the Early Years Foundation Stage:
A guide for Parents
Children need to feel safe and secure within the nursery to thrive and develop and form secure attachment. Every child in our nursery has a primary Key Person who ensures that they encourage secure attachment with their key children and share information with the parents.
Whiz Kids Nursery provides children with variety of experiences that extends their learning thorough challenging and stimulating activities all which are recorded in their individual Learning Journals which is shared with you regularly.
The delivery of our curriculum is not just geared to indoors but extends to outdoors and this is enhanced by brining the indoor learning to outdoors. All children love to experience the outdoor play and at Whiz Kids we do this by setting up all the seven areas of the EYFS outdoors, so that children have variety of experiences that encourages their curiosity, learning and development.
Visits and Outings
We believe that children need to learn about the local community and therefore we take children out on outings to the local farms, parks and different places of worships so that children learn about different cultures.
Our visit to local libraries is very successful and children enjoy looking at books which encourage reading and early literacy skills.
"Children are supported effectively to learn how to share and develop their consideration of others ...there is a secure curriculum in place that meets individual children's needs and prepares them well for the next stage in their learning."
