Free Childcare Funding for
2, 3 and 4 year olds

3 & 4 Year Old Funding

All three and four year olds are entitled to claim free early years education for 15 hours a week for 38 weeks of the year.

For many parents this free entitlement is extended to 30 hours, but eligibility criteria apply. Please feel free to contact us and we can help you claim the correct funding to which you are entitled.

Your child becomes eligible for free early years education on the dates set out below:-

A child born on or between 1st September and 31st December will become eligible for a free place at the beginning of the Spring Term
in January after their 3rd birthday

A child born on or between 1st January and 31st March will become eligible for a free place at the beginning of the Spring Term in April after their 3rd birthday

A child born on or between 1st April and 31st August will become eligible for a free place at the beginning of the Autumn Term in September after their 3rd birthday

2 Year Old Funding

In April 2024 ALL 2 year olds will be entitled 15 hours of free childcare. We are currently enrolling for the 2024 intake but spaces are going fast. However you can reserve a guaranteed space for your child by Booking a visit

Until April there is eligibility criteria that apply to be able to claim for the 15 hour funding. Please feel free to contact us and we can help you claim the correct funding to which you are entitled.

In April your 2 year old child will become eligible for free early years education on the dates set out below:-

A child born on or before 31st March 2022 will become eligible for a free place at Whiz Kids at the beginning of the Spring Term in April 2024 after their 2nd birthday
